Published

C'mon peeps, where are you all? There are posts for every other ECC/NL class. We need our own too.

Anyone else starting in the Fall '07?

El Centro - Fall '07

Specializes in NICU.
Haven't even applied for nursing school yet. But I'm attending El Centro for the first time this Fall. All my classes at Brookhaven closed on me. :angryfire

So anyone taking A+P II, pharm., or micro. this fall?

And how hard is it to get to the school? I live in Addison. :o

I would take the train downtown that way you do not have to worry about traffic or parking. You can get a free DART pass at school.

Good luck!

You can park at Arapaho station and take the Dart train. Or take classes at Northlake and drive on G. Bush turnpike or Beltline. You can also keep an eye on Brookhaven schedules because there are people who change their mind before classes start. ;) Good luck, Katie

Orzonus,

El Cetro doesn't require pharm. Brookhaven and El Cetro are very different in about every aspect. I cannot say which one is easier or harder to get into. It's all by grade point average. One thing I can say about Brookhaven is that they do interviews, that is what I hear. My friend got called back for an interview and did not get in.

Well I'm technically a student at Brookhaven. But I didn't get around to registering for classes until after Summer I. And everything was taken. So I'm taking brookhavens requirements this semester at El Centro. I'm pretty sure I'll be back at Brookhaven in the spring.

What's so different about them? And I heard that Brookhaven stopped doing interviews. I could be wrong though.

Does it cost to park at Arapaho station?

Thanks everybody for the replies. :)

And holy crap. What are the odds of clicking on a general student nursing forum and seeing several dallas school threads?

I am in the Brookhaven Nursing class August 08. I have also heard that they will stop doing the interviews. They said that it took too much time. But they may go back to doing interviews later. The point system between El Centro and Brookhaven for getting in is different. The nursing classes are setup differently in both schools. I have really enjoyed my classes so far at Brookhaven. The Teachers are very supportive.

I've had good experiences with all professors except one. She didn't tell us our grades. Didn't return emails. But I somehow managed an A. So I'm not really complaining.

lol...yes, there are several Dallas area threads. :)

Good luck in whatever school you end up with. Brookhaven without an interview makes it sound even better.

I wish El Centro went during the summer.

Fall 07 EC,

Are any of ya'lls schedules up? The paper says after 3:00pm, but it's now 4:30pm and I'm showing 0 hours! Let me know please if yours are up!

No schedules till the 13th of August... Check your email. They have to wait till HPRS grades are in before they register everyone for classes...

Oh goodness....what a pain....not knowing anything until then!!!

This is what they mean by, be flexible... :)

My schedule is up. But I took the HPRS course in the Spring. Looks like tuition will be for just 8 hrs - not too bad.

7 weeks to go...
