Congrats, Katie! How exciting for you!!! Let us know what date you choose!
I did it. I registered for January 30th. I wanted to do a week earlier but there were no appointments available that week. In fact there were hardly any days available in January (in Dallas). Now I will need to keep telling myself that Jan. 30 = RN.
Does anyone know what the 1st semester skills pack consist of, I took the HPRS 1204 class and we had to purchase a skills pack and I was wondering if it is the same thing.
Last semester it was the same stuff we used in HPRS. I never used mine and the only difference is instead of a straight catheter it comes with a Foley.
I agree with the tackle box for the needles, syringes, and saline vials to go in.
It keeps everything organized, and you are tugging a small box, instead of the bulky bag for all to see.
I actually went to Hobby Lobby and bought a strap and a plastic buckle-type thing, and strung the strap through the handle of the tackle box. (The strap and buckle were like you would find on a backpack.)
SO, I wore the box as a purse, instead of having to carry it by the handle. :)
Sorry I can't give any second opinions on the skills pac....we didn't have HPRS.
Good luck to you! :)

New nursing student fashion. I got my box from walmart.
I have to add that I have just checked my ecampus. I can still see my nursing classes and the first thing I read is a new announcement titled: I-Pod ready Schizophrenia lectures. :lol_hitti

The good news is that you are getting close to graduation and taking NCLEX.
Meanwhile, I am getting lightheaded here because I got my authorization to test today. I have to pick a date now. :sofahider
