El Centro/Northlake • Fall 07

C'mon peeps, where are you all? There are posts for every other ECC/NL class. We need our own too.

Anyone else starting in the Fall '07?

It's only ECC that does that I believe. We can e-mail Kanora and ask, but I doubt it.

You can get a DART sticker because you are still ECC students. I was an ECC student, too. ;) By the way, I used to ride a bus from NLC to Irving center and another one to Addison and it took me more than 1.5 hr to get home. So I started driving as soon as I got my car.

Thanks Katie! Do we just go down to ECC to get it, or do they issue it at NLC? I e-mailed Kanora to verify if the lectures really were online, and if so, is there an orientation or anything. It would really help to have communication from them if they are going to do this to us...

You need to go to ECC. Good luck,

You go to ECC's cashier's office, just like before.

All ECC students can get one, and even though you are taking classes through NLC, you are still getting your degree from ECC. Therefore, you still qualify for the DART sticker.

I've got one in 1st and 2nd semester, but never used it. I didn't even bother in 3rd.

I'd use it. That way I can take the train to the IV seminars and stuff..thanks guys!

Our IV seminar and trach seminar were at NLC...not sure where they will have y'all go.

They psych test review and 4th semester psych orientation was held at the same time at ECC, though.

Whoa- so both Yang and Jaxia got bumped to NL---go figure...

at least you both will be together.

so sad I won't be in there with y'all....sniff sniff.

We only got bumped together because we were in a carpool envelope - otherwise, who knows! I'd just like to get confirmation whether or not the 3rd semester lecture really is online or not. That would ease my mind a great deal I think. I e-mailed Kanora to ask, but they are out of the office until the 2nd, and then moving to the new building so who knows when I'll get a reply. At least we'll be out there sometimes, so it will be easier to hook up with you Spill! So far Jaxia, Alex, and I are the only 3 that have been transferred. I sent out an e-mail, and have gotten several responses, but all of them are at ECC still. Talk to you all later!

I am beginning to think they just did not have enough room for the incoming LVN students into 3rd semester. That's why they gave us so many extra points on our final, so that many more passed and not have to repeat. And now they still needed to bump you guys out to NL. Very strange things going on at ECC in my opinion.

By the way, I emailed Kanora about something yesterday, and I got an answer from her today, after the message that they are out of the office.

If bridge students were admitted and I was bumped, I will be so angry. If you don't have room to admit, you don't admit....you don't bump someone who is already in place. That's Bull-you-know-what! I e-mailed her yesterday and still have not heard from her. I wonder how I could find out if that's the case. Who is the 3rd level coordinator - does anyone know?

This is the sec. semester for the bridge students (their first on is seperate from us and then they join us). So if they passed the first on, they have to move up, they can't drop them. Alltogether they have 3 semester.

It may be their second semseter, but I was admitted to the ADN program at ECC campus. I've been there for 2 semesters and it seems ridiculous that they can just randomly ship someone across town without talking to them first. It seems very fishy to me that they printed out the clinical choices, complete with instructors and then 10 days later, they suddenly don't have enough spots available. I don't believe they didn't know there was a shortage before distributing those clinical selection sheets.
