El Centro/North Lake Fall 2010 Admission

Published

Hey!

Is there anyone out there that is applying to El Centro/North Lake for Fall 2010? I am getting ready to turn in my packet tomorrow and I am sooooo nervous about this new points system! Has anyone heard what is the average number of points that most applicants have for this application period? I have heard that this is now very similar to how Brookhaven and other Texas colleges have been for awhile but it is new for El Centro and North Lake. Fingers crossed that I will get accepted....I'm so nervous!

Thanks!

hey

i got in elcentro college for this ffall 2010. hope to meet everyone who are accepted in elcentro soon

futuremrsjohnson, Did you get the issue fixed? I hope everything turns out okay.

Hello all, I am new to this site and ran across this thread. I will be joining you all at El Centro Fall 2010. I was wondering if anyone knows what the orientation will be like, how long it will last and if we be buying books or scrubs, etc??

Hello! i'll be at northlake, but i THINK that we will be buying our scrubs etc. not sure how long it will last.

YEA Northlake! I'm so glad I'm going to Northlake campus instead of in downtown Dallas. I would have had to figure out parking everyday, it could have gotten very expensive! I like Northlake campus, it's very nice and peaceful.

i have not even seen the campus yet. i have to look at it at some point. i'm so excited i cannot wait. bestsaver, we'll have to meet up on orientation day!

Good idea! We can meet at Corner Bakery next door to the paramount building. My real is Tisha. Will you be working during nursing school?

ya, i'll be working part time especially since i like to eat and have shelter and all haha.

LOL! Same here. I keep wondering how much time school will take because it looks like the first semester will technically only be 8 hours (if you've taken the support courses.)

I only have speech and micro left as far as support classes and i'm taking speech in the maymester and taking micro this summer. I'd rather focus on the nursing classes than worry with any of the supports. I'm hoping that working 20 hours and going to school is not a crazy notion.

Thankfully I have all my support courses done. I'm wondering the same thing as you about working and school and being able to balance everything while maintaining a high GPA. If I were you I would take Micro as a summer course so you don't have to stress over it during nursing school. Micro's a tough class.

Hey everyone! I was thinking it would be fun for all of us to get together and meet one another before orientation. Maybe we can do lunch or something?

Let me know what you think and if there are certain days/times that would work best for you.

Thanks!!
