I completely understand! I have been super-focused on maintaining a 4.0 on the prerequisites, (which they changed which is also annoying), getting all my support courses finished, getting a high score on the HESI and therefore have not even thought about/nor had the time to obtain a CNA. I wish they would give a point or two for those of us that already have a bachelor's degree in another field.
I haven't really heard much on what other people have for final points, but I am hoping that I had enough to get in. Good luck to you too!
If they count the medical experience I have I will have 18 points, but it may not count so I will have 16. I worked in a blood bank so I'm not sure they will count it toward the 2 points. I made a 90% overall on the HESI, high 80's on everything and then a 98 on the math portion. It must have been a bad day for me. I tried to sign up to take the test again because I earned a higher english score at a different school but all the spots were filled! I'm hoping for the best! Anyone else care to share?
The highest score that I have heard of is an 18. I am curious to see if they will accept more than 100 students for the program this time since there seems to be such a demand for nurses AND the fact that there were a lot of applicants. Letters are supposed to be sent out this Thursday and I am anxiously waiting to see if I made it or not. Anyone else super-nervous????

Hey!
Is there anyone out there that is applying to El Centro/North Lake for Fall 2010? I am getting ready to turn in my packet tomorrow and I am sooooo nervous about this new points system! Has anyone heard what is the average number of points that most applicants have for this application period? I have heard that this is now very similar to how Brookhaven and other Texas colleges have been for awhile but it is new for El Centro and North Lake. Fingers crossed that I will get accepted....I'm so nervous!
Thanks!
