El Centro/North Lake Fall 2010 Admission

Published

Hey!

Is there anyone out there that is applying to El Centro/North Lake for Fall 2010? I am getting ready to turn in my packet tomorrow and I am sooooo nervous about this new points system! Has anyone heard what is the average number of points that most applicants have for this application period? I have heard that this is now very similar to how Brookhaven and other Texas colleges have been for awhile but it is new for El Centro and North Lake. Fingers crossed that I will get accepted....I'm so nervous!

Thanks!

Take the CNA class!

do you have all of your support classes done? how was your hesi test? how is your gpa? If your support classes are done, you dont think you can get any higher on your hesi, than maybe try for the cna to get the extra 2 pts.

Hey everyone...are ya'll all getting as excited as I am about starting school in 2 wks?? I can't hardly wait!!!! :yeah:Hope everyone has had a great summer. I know I have...been enjoying every moment with my husband and kids before the crazy schedule begins..:lol2:

I am excited and nervous, I told myself I wouldn't look in the books until we started but...I have been reading them. Some of the pictures in Mosby's dictionary are shocking!

I'm excited as well. I wonder what the schedule for the 3-day orientation is going to look like.

I don't know exactly what we'll be covering during orientation, but I'm sure there will be alot of info packed into those 3 days. I think I'm going to begin some early reading as well. It's always better to be a step ahead if possible:)....Hey Jess, how did your VA orientation go? Do you think you're going to like it there?

it actually shouldn't have been called an orientation. It was just a fingerprinting meeting. It went well, they just verified the tons of paperwork we had to fill out. :/ At first I was really bummed about the VA but, after I went there is actually clean-looking and no dirty men came on to me. haha. How was the Parkland orientation? :)):):):)

Good...I'm glad it went well. We haven't had an orientation yet...I guess the VA was the only one's to have 'so-called' orientation over the summer.

Jess, are you registered for the morning or afternoon lecture class??

for the morning. What about you? I'm kind of worried about lecture because of the comments on rate my professor.

I have afternoon lecture...originally I was supposed to have morning, but I guess they switched it because my clinical instructor changed as well. I have read some things on there too, but we may have really great experiences. We'll just have to wait and see...a little over a week to go. Yay!! :clown:

Hi, I live in Arizona, and I was wondering how long it took from the time you applied to nursing school until the time you got accepted? At the schools in AZ the wait is two years after you apply. My step-mom is a nurse in Dallas and I am maybe thinking of moving to TX to go to nursing school if the wait isn't as long as it is here. Thanks!
