Is there anyone out there that is applying to El Centro/North Lake for Fall 2010? I am getting ready to turn in my packet tomorrow and I am sooooo nervous about this new points system! Has anyone heard what is the average number of points that most applicants have for this application period? I have heard that this is now very similar to how Brookhaven and other Texas colleges have been for awhile but it is new for El Centro and North Lake. Fingers crossed that I will get accepted....I'm so nervous!
I don't know, highest I've heard is 18. I probably had one of the lowest GPA's for the prerequisites (3.55). I still got all of the points for that portion. I had 18 points (from what I calculated.)
Congratulations for everyone who has been accepted into the Nursing program. My wife recently graduated from this program in December 09 and just started her first nursing job this week. I am very very proud of her and her accomplishments. I have seen it first hand the challenges she has gone through in nursing school and she has definitely had her ups and downs. I feel with the support of my children and myself she succeeded and made her dream come true. My wife was 38 when she entered nursing school with two young children....So Moms out there..Its tough but doable.
Thank you girls for your help. I notice looking at the curriculum overview for fall 2010 if you do take your support classes before you apply to the program you will only be taking 3 classes or less once you get accepted which might be pretty good.
I have one more question do yall know where I could get a very helpful review for the HESI A2?:)
they offer one in the bookstore, which is good for all of the sections EXCEPT for the ap portion. The math part has lots of conversions, memorize them there were like 5-10 questions just on conversions. you might want to research barnes noble/ etc for a good book on the ap portion. the ap portion of the test covers ap I and ap II.
Hi everyone. Is 14 points good enough to get in at El Centro. I thought about picking up a CNA certification over the summer but I don't know. It's hard... I am sooo busy now. I don't want to risk getting fired until I know for sure I can get in. If I take the CNA class I will have 16 points.
