Edison State College Nursing Program 2011

U.S.A. Florida

I'm looking for students applying to the summer nursing program this year. Just reaching out and hopefully we'll be classmate.

I hadn't heard anything by lunchtime, so I called the Collier campus and the woman said that Collier campus isn't doing phone call notifications this year. She said they mailed the acceptance packets today. However, she did ask me my name and told me that I made the program! Just wanted to let the Collier applicants know that you have to call if you don't feel like waiting for the packet...

Congrats everyone!! I can't wait to start....

Congrats everyone! I got into the day program at Lee!!! Can't wait to meet those of you who are also in the Lee day program :)

I got in with an 80 in 2010

Do you have to be enrolled at Edison to take the HESI there? How are transfer students supposed to apply to Edison's nursing program?

What would you guys say is the most difficult campus to get into and which is the easiest? I was planning on only applying to Charlotte, but I don't know how many points I would need to get into the Lee Campus. I heard Charlotte was the easiest one to get into, but they only take applications during the summer.

I'm at the charlotte campus now, and it's easier to get into compared to lee. But you still need a high 80 to have a better chance of getting accepted.

Hey I would be applying for the Summer 2012 nursing at Edison..I have tried several times to download the point sheet from the website, but I do not have microsoft excel, and open office won't open the thing. Soo...anyone have a copy they could email? or better yet...i have a 3.23 overall GPA, I think I scored 93 or 94 on the Hesi (I took it in 2010 right after finishing A&P 2, best time to take it, IMO), and I will have taken all the prereqs by the time I submit my application. Not sure what counts, but I have taken A&P 1 and 2, Biology, Chemistry, College Algebra; currently taking Statistics, Human G and D, Nutrition, and have A's in all those...I still need to take Psychology and Microbiology though but that will be done before i apply as i take those this spring. I took all my Gen Ed's at another school where I got a BA, but could not find employment except in Finance, which was never what I wanted to do. I will be applying to FGCU as well and USF. What are the acceptance rates at all these places? While I feel good that I meet the requirements posted on the websites..its always hard to tell what acceptance rates are.

The requirements on the website is nothing compared to what you need to get in. Lee campus, you need about 89-90 and that might increase by next year. Collier and Charlotte is about 85 and up. If you have all A's in your classes your gpa should be higher. I would say go the the office or call over the phone so you know for sure, where you stand. Good luck!!

thanks for the reply :) the gpa is from my undergrad plus the classes i took this summer. Hopefully it will be a 3.4 when I am done with the science prereqs. Yeah, you are right. Its like those requirements just allow you to be considered for the program, but I guess I will just apply to all three schools for fall 2012 and see what happens :)

you should be fine, you have a good gpa and you scored great on the hesi. I know you said you wanted to apply in the fall but you should give the summer a try because its less competitive

I just took the HESI and got an 88.67% Would the nursing admissions round that up to an 89 or am I stuck with the 88? :( Nobody's in the office since it's Friday so I have nobody to answer my question and it's freaking me out! I think I still might have to retake the HESI, but I'd still like to know if they round up or not.
