Had a great night. Still on orientation, not functioning independently, but got to do some cool stuff. I really tried to show I am a team player, and it seemed that the other nurses were receptive to my effort. They took time to teach me, and made me do some things too. Sorry, can't get more specific than that!

Hang in there. It takes a while to catch on in the ER. Keep asking questions. Being a team player is huge, be willing to pitch in and help out where you can. It is appreciated and will be reciprocated. It's become very apparent to me who I can count on in my ER when the manure hits the oscillator and who I can't. Luckily, the "can't" group has very few members.
