EC RN grads and NCLEX research study?

Just wondering if any EC RN's recieved an questionaire about their RN distant education, their first RN job obtained after becoming a RN and satification regarding distant education? I recieved one yesterday from NCSBN (NOT NCLEX). It even asks about how many times you took the CPNE?

So just wondering anyone else get the questionaire?

Sorry for the duplicate post. Did not see this thread. I just completed mine. I will be sending it out ASAP. I have sealed it but would like to submit a letter. I think Imma try to open it and put it in.

It's okay, I merged the threads together. :) You can just slit the top of the envelope and tape it shut again! Good idea about the letter.

i wrote to the board to ask a little more information about the survey and received the nicest email response, read below, i couldn't attach the attachments here because "your file of 146.2 kb bytes exceeds the forum's limit of 100.0 kb for this filetype" i'm actually really excited to see the final report!

thank you very much for your e-mail. with your kind support, we are expecting to get the report done by october this year. we plan to submit our findings to a peer-reviewed journal, and the publication date will depend on the review process. we will be glad to share our published report with all participants.

i am very grateful that you have taken some time out of your busy day and shared your experience with us. some of your classmates also called in and told us their successful stories with excelsior. your input is not only very valuable to our study, but most importantly, it will help people to have a better understanding of excelsior program and excelsior graduates.

we have invited all excelsior graduates and a random sample of non-excelsior graduates who passed the nclex-rn exam during june 1 2008 and june 30 2009 to participate in this study. i have attached two different versions of the survey questionnaires. please feel free to share these surveys with your coworkers if they are interested in this study. it is my intention to reach as many excelsior graduates as we can to make a solid case. if you know any of your classmates who have not received the ncsbn survey form, please feel free to contact me. we have received some returned mails with invalid address.

EC's email response was a bit negative, I thought so too. EC stated they were concerned that the survey may be structured in a way that will yield negative and inaccurate results. EC also said they thought it would NOT be in our best interest to complete the survey, but that it was our choice. After alot of deliberation I mailed it in. It won't affect my licensure in any way. I think the State board needs all the positive reviews of EC it can get. Your education is what you make of it, whether you graduate traditional or nontraditional.
