Ok I admit- I did ask this before but am still curious-
How did your scores on the practice exams relate to the actual exam scores? Were they way off? I have made 70s so far on the Transititions Practice Exams and am soooo worried about failing the actual test.
So how did you guys do?? Thanks in advance!!
I am scheduled to take the Health Safety Exam on Monday. I am very nervous about taking the exam. I do not want to fail. I took the first practice exam last week and made a 82, but I dont want to take the second practice exam until maybe Saturday or Sunday. I didnt study before the first one and I found it to be refreshing how much information I remembered from my traditional first semester nursing course. I hope to take the practice exams for each exam after this and I plan to hopefully test every 2 1/2 to 3 weeks. I have known about this program for years now and I cringe at myself everytime I think of how much I procrastinated. I think it is definitely important to motivate ourselves and each other.
I got a 58 on both forms on my Transitions practice tests and am getting frustrated. My test is sceduled for the 2nd week in Feb. Hopefully I can pull off a passing grade on the actual exam!! there were lots of questions on the practice test that were tricky. I know now my areas of focus though and will be studying daily until the test date. I think I'm probably getting one of thre hardest out of the way first.....

I went too in depth on the info I think. And the night before I reread ALL the material and notes- even with all that- the test had 3 items that I didnt remember seeing/studying. I am soo glad to have made a C- it's over that one ya know!
Just dont go too crazy with the info- know it but dont stress with dates. I use pneumonics- that helps me to remember. I think too the more you stress the worse it is- just keep thinking you can do it- because you can!!! And if youy need anything or have questions PM me- or write back.
(It just started snowing here....in LOUISIANA!!))
Hi Diana, I'm new to this site but was curious as to which school did you take the transitions with? I'm going into the RN to BSN program thinking of Chamberlain and transitions will be the first. And just reading all the blogs it seems as if it was the hardest.
The transitions test being discussed in this thread is the one for the Excelsior College nursing program. For any other nursing program, you would have to get prior approval to substitute the Excelsior College exam.
