I have already scoured the discussion boards here for an answer but to no avail...how the heck to you pronounce the name of the nurse licensing exam (NCLEX)?!?!? Is it pronounced "en-klex" or do you say the letters individually like "N-C-L-E-X"? I'm tired of not knowing and don't want to sound like an idiot when I try to figure it out. Thanks so much!

en-clex is the norm.

Yes, like Sister said, it's EN-klex.

Think about it this way: nurses will do things in the fastest acceptable way because we hate to do things slowly. Which is faster to say?

i hear sooo many spell out the letters, and now, am becoming self-conscious about saying 'mersa'.

I've never heard it spoken other than M.R.S.A .in UK .
