Hi everyone!
Has anyone else applied for their MSN at Duke or UNC for Fall 2015 matriculation. I specifically applied for the Nursing Education program, but would love replies from anyone who has applied!
Does anyone have any idea when when we will be hearing from either school. I am new to this entire process!
Thanks for the replies!

I applied to Dukes msn nnp. I am not sure when the school is planning to contact students, I think it may depend on what specific program you applied for.

I applied at UNC for Fall 2015! Pediatric specialty. I've read some old posts and I think last year they received decisions around May. And I know UNCs application website says MSN decisions will be out early May due to volume of applicants. So here's to only 5 months more of waiting?!
The girls I work with all say April or May...so long to wait!!
Too long... If you don't mind me asking, where do you work?.
I'm currently living in another state but would relocate if I got accepted. I'm a little worried about finding a job.

I actually work at Duke. How many years of experience do you have and in what clinical area?? Duke is not too difficult to find a job if you aren't overly picky.
I work in pediatrics now. 1.5 years of experience (2 years by the time I would move there).
Finding pediatric jobs is always more complicated than adult world because theres usually such a smaller need, but since I'm going for peds specialty I don't really have any other option. The experience is so important.
I actually work Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplant and LOVE it! We have an amazing team. I also know the manager is PICU if you are interested :) I can give my manager and the PICU manager your name!
Dukes interviews go out next week. They will take place Jan 20-23.
Sweet!! I haven't applied yet. I'm going to start looking next month and March. I will probably take you up on your offer around then.
Random ??, will the Duke education benefits pay for UNC classes? I decided against applying to Duke so i've been under the impression that if I want tuition reimbursement that I would have to work at UNC?
