Duke and UNC MSN hopefuls Fall 2015

Hi everyone!

Has anyone else applied for their MSN at Duke or UNC for Fall 2015 matriculation. I specifically applied for the Nursing Education program, but would love replies from anyone who has applied!

Does anyone have any idea when when we will be hearing from either school. I am new to this entire process!

I applied for the Nursing Education Program, I work at Duke so I love local. My interview is tomorrow!

I just read the MSN page for UNC says: while they are trying to get admission offer letters sent out in April, there were so many applicants for the MSN programs it will probably be May. I also heard of someone who received her admission offer letter....she applied for the Psych NP MSN program and was accepted as a Merit Scholar. The wait is taking foooorrreeevvvveeeerrrr! Has anyone else heard anything from UNC?

I talked to the admission person and she also told me May. I guess it depends on which program you applied for..I applied for Nursing Education. How about you??

I'm having a pretty rough time waiting on them. I also applied to Duke and was invited for an interview. I find out in 15 days if I was accepted. I then have two weeks to be a $1,000 nonrefundable deposit. I won't even know anything from UNC.:

I can't give up a spot in a great program when I have no clue if I will even be admitted..

I agree. It would really be nice if they could have all schools give notice at the same time...but I know that's asking a lot. ;)

Apparently it is. Either decision at similar times or longer than 2 weeks to pay a deposit. But I have pretty much made my decision..now just waiting on the admissions committees to make theirs..

I've also emailed and I was told that decisions would be out in May. I will have to move from out of state so I really wish I could know earlier, but it is what it is. Let's just hope for good news in May.

And I agree that Duke is so great that if I got accepted I would definitely go rather than wait for a possible. I have a friend at Duke and she loves it.

WJewell does the person who you heard got admitted already go to UNC? I think that's so strange that she got accepted so early.
