Hey! I just a job with Big Duke for their Spring ED residency and wanted to connect with other new nurses. I think having a good support group and knowing people throughout the hospital is always helpful, especially at such a big hospital. I am also moving to the area with my 3 kids in January, we've never lived in NC so any advice of places to go and things to do would also be fun!

Hey there! Send me a direct message im considering Duke myself CTICU!
I haven't posted enough to be able to DM LOL, sorry! I guess you have to post 15 times before they'll let you, which is annoying.

Hey, did you accept a job on CTICU? I accepted a position at Duke recently and are moving from out of state. Would love to connect with like minded individuals.

Hi Alicia, I have also been accepted into the Duke Spring ED residency. Congrats! We just finished our move down here yesterday in fact.

Thank you! Congrats to you too! We moved from Utah 3 weeks ago. We’re down in Apex, but so far we’ve loved it. I’m excited but nervous to start!
To be honest I'm just ready to get on with it already. Don't be nervous, you will be a rock star! If memory serves me correctly, there were around 100 applicants and they took 13-ish of us. They clearly see something in you. I take the NCLEX next week, so if you don't see me at orientation, you know how that went LOL.
That’s true! I took my NCLEX the beginning of January. I’m sure you’ll do great, getting that over with is always the best feeling.
Hi Alicia,
I guess I'll see you in a few days. Now all we have to do is just show up and not get lost!

My start date is the 28, and the first week is virtual is what I was told? So I won’t actually be in the hospital until the second week of March. Oh, and what’s your name by the way? See you in a couple weeks!
Fair point, I believe we all start on the 28th and spend the first week virtual. My name is Mark and I’m looking forward to getting this show on the road!
