Hey! I just thought I'd make a place where people can ask questions regarding applications, interviews, and new jobs regarding Duke's Summer 2017 New grad Program. I sent my application in for Duke's New Grad Program in January, and still haven't heard anything. Has anyone heard anything different?
Good luck!
Hi! I was just offered a position at Duke (and also late to the party) but I'll be relocating from New England too! I'm starting in October and am also looking for a roommate - let me know!
Hi! Congrats on the offer! Im glad I'm not the only New Englander heading down to NC! Fell free to message me (if there is a messaging system on here lol!)

I lived in MA before college. Originally from PA but NC is a nice change of pace for some New Englanders. My mother loves it (mostly because of the weather and she HATES New England winters.)

Haha same, I don't think I can message on here yet since I just joined, but I'm excited to hear that someone else is going down far too!
Yes the parking is kinda limited at the moment. You can either choose to park way off somewhere and pay $50 (the cheapest i've seen) or pay more for Hock / PG3. I currently park in PG3. In the morning the H2 Loop shuttle bus can bring you from the deck directly to the hospital without other stops. I never can seem to catch it after a long 12 hour shift though. I hear that on the weekend and third shift you can park in PG2 (the deck that connects to the main hospital through an unground tunnel). Hope this helps!

I've been told that to park in PG2 for night shift you have to get a special pass, unfortunately. I call the van service after my shifts so I really use the bus at night. I've used it in the AM when weather is less than perfect and it's pretty reliable.

The only parking available right now is Hock (I think it's $105/mo) and Parking Garage 3 ($87/mo).
