Hi! I didn't see a thread so I wanted to create one for new grads. I just applied to a position at Duke University Hospital and am looking to connect with other new grads!

Hi! I am about to interview for the ER SNIP program today (they said to expect offers tomorrow) I'm also coming from out of state if accepted, fingers crossed. I'd love to chat some more if we both get a spot!

My understanding is all interviews will be via zoom and instead of the shadowing there will be a q and a with staff prior to your interview slot.

thats so exciting I hope things work out for you! and yes I would love too! I wish my next interview was closer LOL Do you graduate in dec as well?

I'm also moving from out of state so I would love to meet other people coming from out of NC! Also I'm going to be looking for roommates potentially so if anyone else is looking feel free to message me.

Yes! If I get the job (hopefully I do) I will also be looking for potential roommates! are you a dec grad also?

Yep, Dec 12 can't come soon enough. We can have a virtual get-together starting Winter/Spring 2021 once interviewing is over.

Great idea! Also if y'all don't know there is a facebook page for 2020 duke nurse residents but people are still joining who are starting in 2021 so look that up too!

Specializes in Peds, Cardiac, PACU.

A virtual get-together would be awesome!

Hi Everyone!

I just accepted a job at Duke for January/February!! I am also from out of state.

Excited to meet some of y'all.

Hello, and congratulations on getting in the program of your choice!

Several posts have been edited to comply with the Terms of Service.

There are two approved ways of creating a special area for your cohort on this site.

One: create a facebook page.

Two: create a "club" for your cohort by clicking on the Breakroom link in the yellow bar to the left of this page.

References to other than these two avenues will be moved from view, per the Terms of Service.

Thank you, and we wish you success in your journey!

I could not figure out how to make a breakroom club for the life of me. If someone else could figure it out that would be great! We could also make a new facebook page for new grads 2021?

Click on the Breakroom link (scroll to the top of this page, upper left-hand corner in the yellow bar area).  Then on the new page, click on "Create A Breakroom Club," which appears in a green bar at the top of the page, and follow the prompts.

Or, the FB area will work too! ?

Hey y'all, I made a facebook group specifically for 2021 new grads. Here is the link!

Hi all!

I was wondering if anyone had any insight as to how long after department review they heard from a recruiter/the department to set up an interview?

Thanks again!

Hey! Has anyone seen or heard anything about any new grad positions/nurse residency program for labor and delivery?

I don't think there are many, if at all.
