Hi! I didn't see a thread so I wanted to create one for new grads. I just applied to a position at Duke University Hospital and am looking to connect with other new grads!

I’m wondering the same thing, I was notified that I was under department review for the PICU on Nov 25th, but have heard nothing since

Hi! It took 3 business days for me to hear back for an interview with a pedi floor! Every floor is different though :) hope this helps!!

Thanks!! I sent an email to a recruiter following up so hopefully I’ll get a response!

No one ended up replying, but my application did update saying they went with another candidate. It’s weird because when I first applied the job was listed as “nurse I PICU” and now it says may 2021 grads only so I’m not sure what happened.

Hmm how odd? I graduate in the next few weeks, do you graduate in May? One of my applications is under department review and I received an email saying it was under review a few weeks back so I wasn’t sure how long that process took but I’m assuming I didn’t get the position because they sound very quick with picking their candidates. When did your application update?

I graduate this December. It was odd but still hoping for something else to pop up!!

Hi everyone! I also just graduated and will be starting on the neuro ICU in April... I'm from out of state and starting to look at apartments (obviously within all of our budgets!) and am wondering where you all have looked? I'm also hoping to bus into work so convenient routes/not too far would be amazing. I hope everyone heard good news after their interviews, and I look forward to meeting you all!
