Hi! I didn't see a thread so I wanted to create one for new grads. I just applied to a position at Duke University Hospital and am looking to connect with other new grads!

Hi! I have interviewed with a few positions at Duke but am waiting to hear back about an offer. Has anyone received an offer yet? How long has it taken?

I received an offer and accepted it! It took like 3-4 days for me to find out I think. What units did you interview for?

Hi! I am also waiting to hear back and it has been about a week and a half. The nurse manager said I should know during the second week of October. Which units did you interview with?

Hi! Anyone else interviewing for the ED? I had a preliminary phone interview and was offered an interview on Oct 20 but now the recruiter isn't answering my email or phone call and I haven't received any follow up or confirmation. Starting to get a little freaked out.

Hi guys! I graduate in Dec and had my first interview for the Surg/trauma ICU at Duke today. It went well and Im really excited!! I have my next interview coming up on Nov 2nd, but the interview is via zoom, and I was curious if we have the chance to fly down and shadow on the floor for the interview? Is that part of a 3rd interview? With COVID IDK what the process is like now...

Also, does anyone know how long it typically takes to get an offer after that second interview?

Also Im moving from out of state and it would be nice to meet some new people when I move down so feel free to message me! ?

Hi! I am about to interview for the ER SNIP program today (they said to expect offers tomorrow) I'm also coming from out of state if accepted, fingers crossed. I'd love to chat some more if we both get a spot!

 

My understanding is all interviews will be via zoom and instead of the shadowing there will be a q and a with staff prior to your interview slot.
