Hey all!

I applied for the BSN-DNP in acute care. I had an interview Feb 18th. They told me they were having a meeting on March 6th and then letters will be sent out via mail after that. Anyone hear anything yet? I keep checking SSIS and my mail box.

I applied to the BSN-DNP program specializing in acute care. I’m getting anxious since I figure we’ll be getting notifications soon via mail.

Has anyone on here been denied admission by Duke? I’m in the process of applying but want to hear from those who didn’t get in. Did the school ever mention a way to strengthen your application and come back? I have a strong graduate G.P.A. but poor undergrad grades early on. Just trying to figure out if I might have a shot. Thanks!

You should certainly apply! I DID get in and am currently in my third semester, however, I did not have the perfect gpa (got a C in stats) and do not have the prefect life history (not to mention I also applied late) and still got in. The staff here really want you to feel supported and really want you to succeed. I too applied on a whim and am so glad I did.

Yes! Apply! I also had poor grades at one point and they truly do look at your trend.....and where you are at this point. I'm in my third semester and have found amazing support. They look at each of us as individuals with individual stories.

Is there anyone in the program now who is attending online? I live in MN and am interested in applying for the program. How often do you have to visit campus? How many days are you usually there? Is the program easily navigated online?

The first two semesters there are no campus visits. I am currently in my third semester, where there are two mandatory visits. One is two days, the other three, approx two months apart. In semesters 4,5 and 6 there is one campus session each, lasting a few days. So about 5 total campus visits total throughout the program.

I am in the AGACNP program which is very easy to follow and very well executed. There are tons of people/programs available for students support. There are also people in my program that live in Colorado and Connecticut so it can be done! Best of luck.

Hey! I applied to Duke's Fall 2020 MSN. Just out of curiosity, does anyone know someone who has gotten an interview but did not get in? Trying to figure out how many people who get asked to interview end up getting in. Thanks!
