Could the dates below be the Duke Days event this year? I sent ------------------------ an email this weekend to confirm so I will let everyone know once the dates are confirm.

Orientation Dates:

DUSON General Orientation (ABSN and MSN*) - Wednesday, August 19, 2020 | Begins at 10 a.m. | Agenda coming soon

The following programs have additional mandatory orientation dates:

ABSN: Wednesday, August 19 - Friday, August 21, 2020

DNP/Post MSN-DNP: Wednesday, August 19 and Thursday, August 20, 2020

MSN/Post-BSN to DNP*: Wednesday, August 19, 2020

Nurse Anesthesia: Wednesday, August 19 - Friday, August 21, 2020

PhD: Friday, August 14, 2020

Wednesday, August 19 at 4 p.m. - Convocation for new graduate and professional school students.

To all,

Duke Days will be virtual this year as per School of Nursing due to COVID. More to come as far as the logistic but it will take place on July 17th from 12pm - 230pm EST. I also asked if there will be mandatory on-campus orientation like the prior cohorts but not confirmed either.

Does anyone know the Spring course will be online, on-campus, or hybrid?

Not sure. I am hoping that there would be some normalcy (let's hope) by then. There was a lady who posted here a few weeks, who's currently in the program, and said that the first semester is full of lectures and lab to learn all the materials which will prepare us for our clinical on the second semester about 2-3 days a week.

I don’t think they have decided yet. I do know that universities in NC are requiring that fall semester students wear masks on campus and are doing things differently with social distancing.

I’m hoping we are able to be in class by then! If anyone finds out let us know please.

My acceptance letter also showed courses which I had already taken. I just email Ben about it this morning.
