apparently duct tape has many uses of which i was not aware. i am beginning to think this is the greatest invention since sliced bread.
i learned last week in micro that duct tape is actually a less painful approach to treat warts than typical "medical" approaches (ie. freezing them off). this was news to me!
what unusual uses do you know of for duct tape - medical or not??

In high school I had a friend who made a wallet out of duct tape. It included slots for credit cards and a change purse. It was really VERY cool.

I recently was on a flight and happened to notice that the wing was completely wrapped in duct tape... not sure if that's really an airline I will use again!

My husband is in the military and their thick, industrial "Army duct tape" fixes everything and anything. Just the other day I used it to fix my vacuum cleaner hose which had a gap in it....replacing the hose would have cost as much as buying a new vaccum cleaner.
OMG.....

I held my first car together with duct tape for probably 6 months... the muffler nearly fell off but duct tape fixed that, and then the hood latch broke so I had to tape the hood down too! Good times.

My son has made one of those too.
Apparently, duct tape can also be used to make clothing:

Please tell us which airline it was.....so that we can avoid flying with them :uhoh21:

Used to be years ago, a small strip of duct tape could be wrapped around a finger that has a wart on it. Something about the pressure it applied and the content of the adhesive made it fade.

Huh, that's pretty cool if it works on warts. However... my mom has always told me never to keep duct tape in contact with skin for extended periods of time, because something in it can cause poisoning, or something weird like that. Anyone heard this? I'll have to ask her about it again...
