That is between you and your employer. You can ask them to pay for it, but if they don't, then what? You pay for it.

Your post is anything but easy to read, but if I understand you correctly, you want to know whether your employer must pay for your license requirements...? Why would they? Do they pay for your licensing now? If they are willing to pay for it, that's great. And if not....it's the cost of doing business with that employer.

Bottom line is WE can't tell you if they will pay....only YOU can ask them and find out, right?

My guess is this post is just autocorrect gone haywire. They work in IA but need to have an IL license as well and since IL is not a compact state, they need to get endorsed in that state, now, too.

If this is a new rule, OP, I would see if the job will reimburse you but if they've said they won't, then you will. Talk to HR and see what your options are

That's where the human comes in and fixes the problems so that their post is readable.

If you will be delivering care or doing telephonic case management in Illinois, you must have an IL license. That's not your employer's rule, it's the rule of the IL BoN.

Many employers will assist with multi-state licensure if required of their employees ... but many won't. Your call.

Thank you for clarification of my post you are right about what I was trying to say, I was at work when I said it so I was typing fast trying to get back to patient care, also I have dyslexia so every so often my writing comes out pretty garbled. But yes this is a new thing they are doing, they are saying the floor nurses have to have dual licenses, we don't have interaction with the ill. Side
