Drexel University ACE Program Fall 2011 Start

Hey everyone, I have been accepted finally!!! They put my application on hold & wanted to see my Fall 2010 transcripts because I have A&P II, microbiology, & chemistry left. How is everyone paying for school??

I am kinda of where you are now...got accepted, now need to worry about how I am going to pay for this. I spoke to people in other programs and most said private loans from Sallie Mae. I called them and they have "smart student loans" in which the student would pay pretty much

I am also reading UMDNJ (my second choice) is getting scholarship money awarded left and right to it's school - which makes me want to pursue that school too.

Aside from that, there are scholarships and loan forgiveness programs, and I am not hearing too many good things about the latter.

Congratulations to everyone!

I just paid my deposit a few days ago. Does anyone who has paid already know what comes next? I looked at the transfer checklist, and after I paid it said there would be a confirmation kit mailed. I was just curious if anyone had gotten it yet?

Once you confirm your seat and pay your deposit , you'll get your new student welcome packet with your immunization record form, information on financing, computing services, stiles hall, and information for commuting students, and next step checklist (returning immunization form, filling out the FAFSA, etc). Nothing specific on the nursing school or ACE program, yet.

I recently applied to Drexel's ACE program. I have everything in and my application status is now under review.

I talked to admissions and there are still spots available. Has anyone applied after the priority deadline this late? If so, how long did it take to hear back?

I'm thinking sooner than later because they are trying to fill spots? Hopefully, I would love to find out soon!

also, where is everyone living? I have a friend who goes to UPenn with a room to rent but I'd also love to just get a studio near campus. I'm bringing my dog so I'd like to be clsoe to home to be able to let him out and what not. This is all on the basis if I get in! :) I'm from Chicago and I have never been to Philly- but I hear great things!!

Does anyone know where exactly our classes will be held? I've heard they aren't on the main Drexel campus and I'm just trying to figure out if this is true and if so, where they are? I'm trying to figure out where the best place would be to live and it's hard when I have no clue where classes are!

I just visited last week. Our classes will probably be at the center city campus, around 15th and race, or around hahnemann hospital. Hope that helps!

I just graduated ACE (toook my NCLEX today!). The classes are all around 15th and Vine like previous poster said. Orientation was a one-day, all-day affair a few days before the ACE program started. There's not a lot of mixing between ACE students and 'regular' Drexel students, and this starts right at orientation! So no, yu don't "go with the normal one".
