I recently applied to Drexel's ACE program. I have everything in and my application status is now under review. I talked to admissions and there are still spots available. Has anyone applied after the priority deadline this late? If so, how long did it take to hear back? I'm thinking sooner than later because they are trying to fill spots? Hopefully, I would love to find out soon! also, where is everyone living? I have a friend who goes to UPenn with a room to rent but I'd also love to just get a studio near campus. I'm bringing my dog so I'd like to be clsoe to home to be able to let him out and what not. This is all on the basis if I get in! :) I'm from Chicago and I have never been to Philly- but I hear great things!! congrats to all of those who have been accepted! I hope to be joining you this Fall!

great post. OP- as a RN you should be more understanding. Everyone deals with things different. Especially one who is not surround by death on a frequent basis

What sort of mixed reviews have you heard of? I'm probably going to decide between rush and depaul

I was considering on applying to the family health NP program... if you don't mind me asking, what was all of your experience/gre/gpa when applying to the program? i think it's a reach for me, but i'll being applying at the end of the summer. thanks and congrats to all of you!

I've just decided to do this. I am applying to general entry masters programs and most likely looking for summer 2011 start dates. I only have 3 classes (2 semesters) left- chem, organic chem and nutrition.. Right now i just babysit but I need some experience because that's where my application is significantly lacking. I figured I need to get my self on the best track and get the CNA. I'm taking a 4 week intensive CNA class and a chemistry night class and wont work for a month so I can get my CNA. I'm actually really excited about it! Wish I did it sooner!

If you don't mind me asking, what was some of your experience/ gpa for the program? Did any of you have your cna and work as a cna? I have little experience but am starting to volunteer soon. Just looking to strengthen my application. :)

Thanks for your info! The different between depauls program and a MSN is research? Do other programs offer an MSN? I will probably be living at home and commuting by EL or car. I know the public transport system well here in Chicago, so I'm good with that :) More interested in what peoples experience/ gpa was when accepting into the program.

Hi! Looking into DePaul for my MSN and was wondering what current students at DePaul thought of the program. I live in the suburbs and although living at home would be the cheapest I'm thinking living near campus might be best- I don't want to drive 30-45 mins each way everyday... Also, what was your GPA / experience when applying to the program? I have a 3.4gpa and so far have As and Bs in my pre reqs but don't have lots of experience. Thanks!!

Are people applying for January 2011 already?? I will be applying directly after my next spring semester before June 15th. I'm starting my essays over winter break and getting all my info ready so I can do the application asap. I've tried getting ahold of someone for literally 6 months. I've left messages and I've never heard back my gpa from my first school is a 3.0 and my GPA from CU is a 3.5. I'm hoping being a CU alum helps me a little, although I don't think if it will hold that much weight. What's the waiting list like? Hopefully I get A's on my pre reqs to be competive! Thanks for the info One1 has anyone done the Metro nursing program? Also, A friend from undergrad is doing Denver school of nursing, not so sure of this school. Anyone heard of it/ know about it?

Hi! I just graduated from University of Colorado-Denver with a psychology degree last spring. I have since moved back home to Chicago and am doing my pre reqs at a local community college although I am still considered a resident in Colorado as well. The plan is to finish next spring (2010) and apply to the nursing program for spring 2011 admissions. What is the admissions process like? How long does it take to hear back and what makes someone a "shoe" in to the program? Can anyone tell me about the program and what to expect? I've tried getting ahold of someone at CU but haven't heard back at all from anyone. Thanks! edit: what are some other programs i can look into in Colroado? Jenna
