Drexel ACE Fall 2017

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hey allnurses community! I noticed a group wasn't yet in existence for this cohort, and I was eager to connect with my potential future classmates. The priority deadline for applying to the fall 2017 cohort is October 15th. I received an email that my application status was complete on September 15th. The only thing I need to still finish is to CLEP Human Growth and Development. I plan to take the exam early October, and send my scores to ASAP. I am currently in a BSN program that I started this month, and my expected graduation date is Dec 2018. It is normally a 3 year program, but I entered already having a B.S. (which is not required at my current program) and many of my classes transferred in. I would love to be done with school sooner rather than later, and have always been attracted to the ACE 11 month program (and Philly!). Being that I would graduate fall of 2018 and from a renown program such as Drexel's, would be so great. I am so eager to hear back! After stalking the fall 2016 group, it seemed that the first people heard back at the end of October. I figured it would be easier for all of us applicants to deal with the waiting game together, so please don't hesitate to post if you've applied or plan to apply for this cohort!

When did you apply and hear back? I am thinking of applying for the spring 17 session to start and finish the program faster, but I figured it might be too late. Am I able to apply for the spring 17 cohort as my second choice, just as some of you have applied for the 24 month as your second choice?

Thank you, you too. Congratulations!

I originally submitted my application right before the deadline, around April 10th. But I actually submitted the wrong application, which doesn't matter now because I'm deferring anyway. So long story short, by the time my application for Spring was completely submitted, it was around August 30th and I heard back around September 15th. When the applications are submitted before the deadline, most people seemed to hear back in about a month or two based on previous threads.

Since the admissions are rolling, there's a possibility they're still admitting applicants. However, from what I understand, you can only have one active submission at a time, so you'd have to get your fall application switched to the spring applicant pool or reapply all together. I would email Fran and ask about the current openings, and if she says they're still accepting, ask her to switch your application info from fall to spring.

Thank you for all the info!! I will talk to Fran :)

According to the allnurses forum for the Fall 2016 cohort, the first person to hear back was on October 24th! Goodluck!

Shoot. I could have sworn I wrote this yesterday. Ah well.

Hi howdy. I've decided to apply for Fall 2017 as well. Just waiting for one last transcript (of course, the one with all my science prereqs on it...) to get sent, and to register for microbiology in a couple weeks. Everything else is done, so I figured I may as well, especially since it's an oddly easy app with no application fee.

Yea, I am more anxious than ever these days.

Hey All!!! I too applied for fall of 2017 back at the end of August. This waiting is killing me LOL Still taking my final prepres: micro and nutrition and plan on taking statistics and psych in january!! I am very excited!!!

Hey I am so anxious!!! LOL I am losing my mind over here waiting. Did you apply anywhere else?

I hear ya, I applied to Gwynedd Mercy University and Villanova University.
