Drexel ACE Fall 2017

Published

Hey allnurses community! I noticed a group wasn't yet in existence for this cohort, and I was eager to connect with my potential future classmates. The priority deadline for applying to the fall 2017 cohort is October 15th. I received an email that my application status was complete on September 15th. The only thing I need to still finish is to CLEP Human Growth and Development. I plan to take the exam early October, and send my scores to Drexel ASAP. I am currently in a BSN program that I started this month, and my expected graduation date is Dec 2018. It is normally a 3 year program, but I entered already having a B.S. (which is not required at my current program) and many of my classes transferred in. I would love to be done with school sooner rather than later, and have always been attracted to the ACE 11 month program (and Philly!). Being that I would graduate fall of 2018 and from a renown program such as Drexel's, would be so great. I am so eager to hear back! After stalking the fall 2016 group, it seemed that the first people heard back at the end of October. I figured it would be easier for all of us applicants to deal with the waiting game together, so please don't hesitate to post if you've applied or plan to apply for this cohort!

At earliest, in previous years, cohorts got responses within the 2 weeks after the priority deadline. However, most likely we will hear back in the range lovely39 noted. So nerve wracking ahh!! Good luck to everybody! And please post here when you hear back so the rest of us know when to maybe expect answers!

hey everyone! I just got my email yesterday that an official admission decision has been assigned to my file and I saw that I was ACCEPTED! I applied August 8th to the ACE 11-month day program and I already had my degree and all my prerequisites completed! I'm super excited and think this is where I want to attend. They give you 60 days to make your decision and send in your $500 deposit. I can't wait to hear who else is accepted! Best of luck to everyone!

OMG!!!!!! Congratulations!!!! @Lindsey224 Did you apply for the 12 month day program or the evening program! I am still waiting on one time before my application is complete. Ahhh

I see its the 11 month program, I think my brain blurred after seeing accepted. Congrats again!

WOW! That's incredible! Congrats!!!!! Did you send them any supplemental stuff with your application? Resume, LORs, Personal Statement, etc?

Any more good news floating out there. WES just finished my credential evaluation, and that should get to Drexel by tomorrow:no:

Congrats to those who already got accepted! Waiting on pins & needles over here! I applied at the end of August!!

Hi guys! I just found out I was accepted today!! :) I'm so excited. I applied for the 24 month program. I applied in July 2016 and had all my pre-reqs done at that time. I did my undergrad at Drexel (chemistry major) and had a 3.0 GPA (3.4 GPA in pre-reqs). I also sent in 2 LORs, no personal statement or additional supplemental materials. Good luck to everyone, I look forward to seeing more good news on this thread! :)

Congrats! That's awesome! Thank you for sharing your stats with us :) Are you 100% going?? Does anyone know how many seats there are per cohort?

Thanks! I forgot to mention I submitted a resume too, but I believe that was a requirement for the application. Yes, I'm definitely going! I had asked an admissions counselor about seats/when they review applications, here is her response:

"We typically begin reviewing applications for the Fall 2017 term around October 15, the priority deadline. Once we start reviewing, students should expect a decision within 4-6 weeks, depending on the volume. For our 24-month program, this is relatively new, so we don't have a lot of history for the numbers, although it is typically a smaller program than our 11-month program. The 11-month program often receives over 600 applications for 150 seats. Our 24-month program is currently growing, so I am not sure what the number is for the Fall 2017 term."

Accepted students information session is Tuesday, November 15th from 6 pm to 8 pm. Here is the link to register: Event Details | Undergraduate Admissions | Drexel University

Hey everyone,

I applied back in September, I'm still waiting to hear back. Ugh I'm so nervous!! If people don't mind sharing, what are everyones credentials?

I have my BS in Biology and a minor in chemistry. My last 60 credits is a 3.2 and my pre req GPA is about a 3.6. I still need to take developmental psych though. I do have health care experience. I'm just worried my GPA isn't high enough. Drexel is my number one option and I applied to the 11 month program which I've heard is more competitive. The waiting is killing me!
