Boy, do I know what you mean. I don't have them much but they are so annoying. I know other nurses that have them and it does not bother them because they seem to be more like Nancy Nurse in their dreams and get things done that they like, like back rubs, etc. Mine are never that sweet. Somme people seem to be able to control their dreams. Maybe someone here can help both of us.
Yeah i am always having those, particuarly if I go to sleep stressing about a shift I just finished.......and they are not "nancy nurse" dreams, hah:chuckle:chuckle
They are usually about forgetting stuff, not seeing a patient for the entire shift or not knowing a patient was assigned to me or something along those lines. I wake up stressed and then have to go right back to work.
There really is no rest for the weary:)
I'm in nursing school, and they required we take statistics as a co-requisite (grad requirement)..so I took it over the summer..one night I was doing my homework before bed, and was having some trouble with one of the problems..so I decided to sleep on it. I dreamt of trying to solve the problem with sheep..but there were fractions of numbers involved..so there were fractions of sheep standing around the pasture! It was the weirdest school dream I've had so far.
the worse dreams i had about work was hearing alarm bells go off all night long
God I hated those dreams. Or I would go to sleep hearing monitor alarms or pumps alarms and can't find them and also dreams after I retired and I would be at work and had to go downstairs for lunch or something and I couldn't find my way back to the unit. Or someone blocking my way back.
