Douglas College Psychiatric Nursing 2014

Published

For the sake of simplicity, I created a new thread.

How many points are you expecting? I should end up with 12 which hopefully gives me a good chance

What was the cutoff for the previous intake?

I actually emailed the admission advisor and she told me that all vaccinations and what not need to be submitted with the paperwork from the dr by the cut off time indicated on your paperwork, she would not give me any additional time and when i told her that my dr was away, she told me to go to a walk in clinic or get another dr. covering him..no leinency. i would email the admissions and ask to be sure.

am I the only that would have to commute one hour and a half to take this program?? by bus??

I live in Van City that is one of the reasons stopping me from entering the program

that sucks =/

i live in surrey, so i would just take the portman and would be there in maybe 20 minutes or less...its best if you drive..seeing as you are going to have to when you start your clinicals..

fiba, are you in the diploma or degree?

i was offered the diploma program last minute, after already enrolling in the degree

Its going to take me roughly an hour to commute each day as well. Really sucks but the bridge toll is such a pain

Anybody wanna carpool? Haha

im able to drive but going to try to cut down on some costs by taking the bus sometimes. I live in surrey/guildford

haha. i guess since were both in the diploma program we will both have the same class schedule and everything. i too am in the fleetwood area and am driving there all days, ...will unfortunately be port manning it as well. maybe if things work out haha. r u going to orientation on jan 5th?

Im actually in the degree program but going straight into semester 3 so our schedules may be similar. Yup ill be there!

I'll be coming from New West by bus, still takes an hour or more. :( But, I'll see you all in January!

The commuting is going to be the worst Jan/Feb but i dont think itll be so bad once the weather gets better

that sucks =/

Neither I went to an info session and volunteer in a mental health facility. I was considering enrolling in the program at Douglas. So I went on this website and volunteered to do my research.

Very unlikely I would take psych nursing at Douglas college. Too far for me.

Wish you all the best!

Anybody know a good location to get first aid done? Figure i might as well do it as i have extra time now

I did the first aid when it was offered at Douglas College last semester. Maybe they'll do it again? It was pretty cheap, too.
