Don't you hate when the stomach bug goes around?!

I'm not normally a baby when it comes to not feeling well or being around contagious people, but If there's one thing I cannot stand is the stomach bug!

I would rather have a bad respiratory infection/ the flu rather than this.

When I find out its going around in the hospital and everyone's sick with it I freak out lol.

Are you working in a hospital now?

If you follow GOOD hygiene you should be ok. As a ER nurse we see these patients ALL the time. Don't touch the counters then you mouth. WASH YOU HANDS CONSTANTLY! I keep an alcohol based sanitizer in my pocket for frequent use. I don't eat sandwiches at work...nothing finger licking good. I avoid group feeding things like salad bars. I only eat things from home AND only things that you eat with utensils.

Heck, you don't have to work in a hospital to get a stomach "bug". Just eat somewhere that has people working there with bad hygiene. That's what happened to me-had explosive diarrhea and was vomiting at the same time for about 3 hours one night many years ago after eating at a hot dog place in the mall.

As a matter of fact yes she does....LOL. My kids have dressed that dog since she was a puppy. William Wegman isn't a genius artist. He has weimaraners and a camera.

Weimaraners are real characters and enjoy every minute of being photographed. That crazy dog believes she is one of my children...and I let her. We are all her devoted slaves. My husband wants to be reincarnated as my dog. Silly husband.

I have gotten far sicker from the general public than I ever have from work. When my kids were small my hubby used to make fun of me washing the table with Lysol and rinsing with bath wipes before they ate...one time I got angry and told him fine..if they get sick HE is caring for them.

They got sick. So did he.

He cared for them and NEVER made fun of me again.

I also HATE shopping carts. FILTHY THINGS. I NEVER put my kids in one. I pushed my double stroller in front of me and drug the cart behind me after 12 hour nights.

I was just wondering if the OP with their frequent questions about infectious diseases worked in a hospital/LTC setting.

My mrsa took down my cdiff, then vre got the mrsa and wouldn't you know it, esbl crushed that vre. The esbl then got bored and left. It was a tough 7 minutes but I feel pretty good now.
