Hey y'all,

Starting a thread for students applying to DUofCA's BSN program for Fall 2021 to share questions and concerns. Application deadline is Feb 1st for Freshmen and March 1st for Transfers. Good luck to everyone!

Oh, I am so sorry. Mine hasn't changed anything yet.....

aw...... It's so stressful....

I started contacting Gurnick Academy for the LVN program....

Should I  email Robert to ask when they are going to release?

I emailed Maria and she said they are still in the process of getting all of their decisions out and they will have an official decision this coming week. 

She also said" unfortunately we received most of your transcripts well after the March 1 deadline. We have a few hundred qualified applications completed on time so they were given priority.

Don’t think that, just because they were given priority, yours should still be considered. Although I have heard horror stories from other BSN applicants at other schools that received a decision 2-3 weeks after application due date because of their transcripts. I think you still have a shot if it’s been this long!

Aw.....I asked her if I have to send a new transcript when I reapply, and she said at the end, you are a strong candidate and I would encourage you to reapply for a future term. . . 

 

I guess. . . she is telling me the indirect way that I didn't get in........

I need to prepare the HESI for Samuel soon....

Yeah.....they gave me a congratulations on the Home Screen, but they told me not into the nursing program but admitted to study for Fall 2021 and gave me 20k scholarship. ? not sure if I should take it and improve my chances of applying for BSN Spring 2022 or just decline the offer and apply anyway for Spring 2022.

Is it HESI or TEAS for Samuel?

Samuel takes both! 

I will have to study TEAS as well but then I would go with HESI first.

Is there any programs you’re gonna use? I’ve seen the ATI TEAS one and just wondering if you’re using anything different and you find it useful?

I will have to search for it. I haven't really started it yet... I am currently taking Microbiology and It is 6 units and got so overwhelming. After I finish this up, I would start studying and I would let you know if I find a good one!

 

What is your email? maybe we can help each other for TEAS or HESI info

I was also denied admission into the nursing program but admitted as an undeclared major with 20k scholarship. I will be declining their offer because I have already committed to another school.

hey guys, I was also denied admission into the nursing program but I got admitted as an undeclared major with a scholarship. Do you think this will improve my chances of getting accepted next year if I went to this school as undeclared until then? I just really wanted to get accepted their nursing program ?
