Dominican College ABSN 2021

Hello everybody!

I recently applied to Dominican College Weekday ABSN 2021 and would like to meet current applicants, current or former students.  I would also like to read about others experience and thoughts about the school/nursing program in general.

I think you’re right! I’ve applied to mercy college and sacred heart and now I’m looking into Iona college. They just bought out Concordia college and took over their accelerated nursing program. Trying to keep my options open honestly. 

I'm planning on applying to those schools as well! I'm pretty open to any schools at this point LOL. Only thing that really frustrates me, is that each school requires different prerequisites so it feels like a never ending cycle of wasted time and money.

OMG yes! It’s so frustrating! I try to find schools with similar prerequisites so I won’t be taking so many different classes

I try and do the same but there's always that one class I didn't take! Also, I'm passed the 5 year mark when it comes to my sciences so having to take those over really bugs me as well.

Still waiting /: I called the school, and was told we’d find out end of Feb-March.

Oh wow. Did they specify when in March? I'm hoping we all hear back in the beginning.

I’m really surprised that they are taking this long! Did you finish all your prerequisite?

 @AshleyCap Yes, finished my last one late last year.

hi! I just found today that I got accepted into the 2021 ABSN program!

Congratulations! That's so exciting ? I'm still waiting to hear back! I should be hearing back soon. Did anything on your portal change?

Hi yes my portal changed to accepted and I emailed Rob the counselor and he said I still have to take a couple classes before I can start so most likely I’m not starting this May but hopefully next May but still very exciting!
