  1. I felt the same when I was trying to find out the sites when I was first applying! The sites I mention though are pretty consistent but there are some sites that just say no more students and you’ll get switched last minute which is frustrating! thank you!
  2. It’s hard to say where definitely because they change the sites sometimes. But locations are at northern westchester hospital, westchester medical center, blythedale children hospital, Elizabeth seton, NYP (variety of locations), & MSK…those are the ones I can think of right now. But it can change especially with covid and some sites might not want students anymore. I’m from westchester county so I try to stay in that area with my clinicals. My 1st semester I didn’t go to a clinical site instead I had a virtual simulation, second semester they split maternity and peds so you will do one for the 1st 7 weeks and then switch to the other for the 2nd 7 weeks and you’ll only have one day of clinical. In my 3rd semester I’m doing 2 days of clinicals a week and im not sure about the rest of the semesters how they do it. hope this helps! Good luck!
  3. Hi! Im in my third semester for the accelerated program and the program overall has been good but there has been some annoying things like them switching my clinicals last minute and the communication with the school isn’t always the best. There are some teachers I love and some that aren’t good but no matter where you go you will always have good and bad teachers. I like that it’s 18 months because it still goes by quick but it’s not AS intense as some colleges that are 12 months or 15 months. I started in the Summer so I will say Summer was the toughest for me because you are taking 4 classes that have labs with it and it makes it feel like you have double the classes but labs are only pass or fail. That semester was the toughest for me so far and the most hectic cause it’s also shortened to 10 weeks instead of 15 weeks like the Spring or fall. I technically had 7 classes including my labs & clinical that were 10 weeks long so it felt VERY intense and jammed together. After that my fall and Spring don’t feel has jammed and I’m able to manage my time to get my work done with my clinicals and still have a life and if I wanted to, work part time. Tuition alone is around $60k along with having to buy your uniform(scrubs), stethoscope and any additional things you need for classes. I will say it was nice that we got a nursing bag filled with all the stuff we needed for our first semester labs and they gave us Kaplan to help us prepare for the NCLEX! Schedule is how you make it…every semester I’ve made my schedule to either have a Monday or Friday off and this semester I have both Monday & Friday off! Clinicals are a first come first serve basis and they have them mainly in Westchester, queens, bronx and Manhattan. But even tho you choose the clinical you want..there’s always chances of it getting changed to a different site because either the site can’t have students due to covid or a instructor quit and they can’t find a replacement for that site. hope this helps & good luck!
  4. Nothing! Getting frustrated not knowing what to do next and financial aid, loans and *** to pay for the program -_-
  5. Hi all! I got accepted into the Summer 2021 cohort for Mercy and am really excited! I was wondering if anyone can share their experiences so far with the program? Are the classes hybrid? Are you doing clinicals in person? What does your week schedule look like? Are you or anyone you know in the program able to work part time? I'm still waiting on for the information session for the Summer but it's taking FOREVER and I am so curious on how the program is so far. Any insight would be greatly appreciated! TIA!
  6. For anyone that is still waiting to hear back, I would say don’t give up hope yet! I emailed --------------------- the other day for an update on the information session and he just got back to me saying they are trying to finish seating the class. So I’m guessing that means they are still sending out acceptance letters!
  7. Also! They are sending acceptance letters through email and it says to check your decision on your application. So you have to go to your application to receive an acceptance letter. I never got the first email and 3 days letter I got an email from mercy that they were still waiting for me to review my decision and I checked and I got accepted on the 4th but didn’t know until the 7th. Definitely check there if you haven’t heard anything
  8. Thanks! For stats I have a 3.02 for undergrad, 3.7 for my prereqs and got an A for A&PI&II, Chemistry, lifespan and a C+ for Microbiology. Hope this helps! Good luck!
  9. Congrats! I got accepted too for the Summer!
  10. Hi, I know a couple people already asked but can anyone share insights on the program so far? I just got accepted to the Summer cohort and was wondering when clinicals are? Are they during the weekends or the weekday? Also do you have clinicals the first semester? TIA!
  11. Thanks! Honestly they send it through the application portal and I didn’t even know to look at that until I got an email saying they were waiting on my decision LOL
  12. Hope you’re doing well! I just found out I got accepted for the Summer 2021 cohort!!
  13. I was thinking about Manhattanville as well! And yeah I would!
