Hi, I was originally trying to apply to NY board because it seemed the easiest route but now I read that CVS requires licensure from your origin country?
So now I'm looking at CA because I heard from here that it is easy to obtain a license there too but just takes longer (which is no problem for me).
But looking at the requirements in CA, it also states that you need proof of license in origin country BUT if you do not, you need a written explaination as to why.
Why is it people on this board said you can go through NY and CA without local board exam but on the website it states differently?
I've tried to contact the CA board but no one ever answers and I get a voice mail box that always says its full so I cannot leave a message either. I also tried email but they never respond. :angryfire
You only have to give a simple and honest explanation and it doesn't even have to be too formal. Some people I know even just wrote it in a piece of paper and there were no problems but I would suggest to have it printed to make it more professional looking. If you just took the boards just say so that you just took it and there were no results as of yet and that you will give them the results ASAP.
If you never took it and have no plans to take it, then say it as so as well.
hi. to whom will be the explaination be addressed? Can you please tell me the complete format for the explaination letter? thank you
