I was just wondering who here in Nursing school or Nurses has tattoos or maybe planning on getting some in the future. I currently have 3 ....the one on my upper right arm is a tribal with a pink rose and four blue rose buds that represent my four boys with their names above the buds....the next one is on my upper left arm it is a tribal armband with 3 hibiscus flowers (still needs some more work) and I also have one on top of my left foot it is a tribal with two flowers and vines. They are not noticable at all unless I wear a tank top and flip flops. I have seen alot of nurses that I have worked with have tattoos... of course they are not easily seen and also alot of my fellow classmates have them as well. Just curious to know how many "INKED UP" students and nurses are on here.:rckn:
I have a few as well - A small one on the inside of my ankle, one between my shoulder blades (only visible when wearing a tank or halter top), and one on my hip (can only see that when I wear a bikini and only then you can see about 1/4 of it). I, too, have been mulling over another one, but just haven't had time to really think about and draw what I want. Maybe someday...
I have 6 tattoos.
-A star on the back of my neck,
-A star cluster on my right shoulder,
-A trio of stars with the phrase 'so resilient' (b/c i frequently need to be reminded lol) on my right wrist,
-A four leaf clover in a naughty area,
-A butterfly on my lower back,
-And my pièce de résistance, the first seven lines of the prayer of St. Francis on my left side, between my hip and underarm.
Obviously, only two are visible when I'm fully clothed. They've never been a problem.
i have a couple of tattoos which I am in the process of getting laser treatment to remove. It is very expensive and painful! I told my niece that I would pay every month for her to get something airbrushed on her instead of getting a real tattoo. Almost everyone I know doesn't want their tattoos from time to time so I will personally never get a tattoo again.
I have one on the inside of my left wrist. A very simple black outlined heart with my husbands name under it. The name can be covered by a watch but not the heart. I am starting my lpn class next month and wondering should I have it covered at all times? It wont be a problem in winter, however, in the summer I can't see wearing a long sleeved shirt everyday unless the ac is on pretty high lol. And I don't want people or patients to think I have a gross rash if I put a bandage over it.
I have 7 tattoos and will be starting nursing school in the fall. The only one that should be visible with scrubs on will be one I have on my upper middle finger. I'm thinking I'll have to cover it up with a band-aid or something. I'm not sure yet, as I haven't gotten the student guide book yet or anything, but I'm assuming that tattoos will always need to be covered up :/
I have three but none of them visible, except for the one on the back of my lower neck that can sometimes be seen depending on the type of shirt I wear and if my hair is pulled up. I'm starting nursing school in the fall. I just hope the scrub top will not be cut that low in back where the tattoo would show. I would think it should come up to the top of the neck line, so I should be ok.

I have a big tattoo on my back as well. Easily hidden with clothes. I've kicked around the idea of getting another small one on the back of my neck but I'd always have to wear my hair long. We'll see. I'm all for creative expression!
