Do you think if someone hates being a CNA they'll hate being a nurse?

I've been doing CNA work for about 3 years and I'm starting to hate it. I like bedside, its just some of the things I have to deal with at work,I've PRN at different facilities and its like they're all the same, alot of nurses are just mean and arrogant and have cliques.

I spend so much time taking care people at home and work until I don't take care of me. I ask myself what am I doing with my life, when patients are kicking me, trying to bite me, I'm cleaning a patient and nurse won't help or think thats too goo or tell you thats your job, when my family is pulling up and I'm taking out trash or constantly have to stand up for myself to an RN and then they double team me.

I'm just burnt out- i guess you can say.

Nursing is all I know and love, but I no longer like to be an Aide, I know when I'm a nurse I will still have to do aide work and will love too. I know Nurses have alot of responsibility and a stressful job. But something in me doesn't want to be a CNA anymore and it scares me because I'm starting nursing school and don't want to end up hating that.

Just wait until it's reverse and the CNA is refusing to help you while they're busy on their phone.

If you love the job you'll love it. Can't let outside factors impact your joy.

Thats true, I just hate working in negative environments,

I'm always willing to help any of my coworkers. But i've see some CNAs act the same. I'm just ready to hang up the CNA title.

Not all environments are negative. As a CNA, I worked in a negative LTC. I also did my LPN preceptor requirement for school at that facility. They did not have any nurse openings when I earned my license. I hired on at another facility and there is much respect between all staff. Not saying there are not issues, but the general atmosphere is positive. Just wanted to let you know that not all places are like that

Maybe these will help? :)
