Do your teachers round up grades?

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

I am just curious how the majority of teachers grade. This semester most of mine wont round your grade at all but I got a 89.76% in my Micro class and I am hoping she will round up but I have not heard back. I hate being so close to an A and not getting it lol.

In my program, they did not round up. And as another poster mentioned, I also know of a few that were dropped from the program even within a tenth of a point. They have to draw the line somewhere and I was fine with them not rounding. Gave us more to work toward and kept us on our game versus going in with the mentality of "its okay, my grade will be rounded". Lol.

In pre-reqs they rounded grades but in nursing school they don't...or at least my NS doesn't.

For prerequisites, you may be able to get away with it if the professor is willing. Once you are in nursing school don't count on it. At my school they literally NEVER round grades. A lot of my fellow students have failed a class by, not 1 or 2%, but 1 or 2 points :crying2:!! If you want to raise your gpa now go for it but don't get in the habit!

I believe my professors did but only if it was 5 or up if it was below 5 they didn't round. And the rounding wasn't suppose to help make you pass the nursing course.

Never in our program, you have a 91.99999999 you get a B

I wish ours did.... 76.9% = F

Thankfully this hasn't affected me yet [emoji16]

My chem professor rounded up or down the grades. The other ones, not so much.
