Do you like the uniforms they give you for your school?

For my school you have to wear uniforms when you start clinical. I've seen other uniforms from other schools around my area and I think mine is the sexiest of them all!!!:D

I like our uniforms. Our scrubs are white top with hunter green logos, and hunter green scrub pants, no specific style, just have to be the same color. White shoes, white lab coat with the green logo (of course only available at the bookstore). OUr class unis are hunter green polo with embroidered logo and khaki or black pants, but its too warm here to wear black so I will wear khaki. I do like them. So glad they aren't all white.

I didn't have a problem with the color of my school scrubs (royal blue) with school name embroidered above pocket. The problem I had was the pants. There was only one shallow back pocket. Being a guy I had to leave my wallet in my car, put my cash or debit card in my ID holder, no place to put any change I may receive after paying for lunch. Not to mention I had to put my keys in the purse of a female classmate. Cargo pants should be the norm for students, especially male students, since most of us do not carry a purse and carrying a bookbag/backpack would be overkill for a wallet and some car keys. After the first semester I just got frustrated and started wearing cargo scrub pants the same color as my top.

I just came back from abroad I heard ordering your embroidered name tag takes a while, I should have "made" it before, how does it work? Does it take long time, I mean would it be a problem? I wanted to relax on vacation before starting but I relaxed too much :)

Our uniforms are head to toe bright purple...or "grape" as they call it, with white shoes. We do get to choose between a few different styles but nothing that is particularly cute. I wear all white skate shoes that I prefer over the Danskos I used to wear so I guess I get to put a little personal touch to my outfit.

But seriously, talk about sticking out, walk in a group of people dressed in head to toe purple and watch the heads turn. One of our clinical instructors used to call us all Barney. :uhoh3:

Others have good colors, others no... In Zambia (where I come from) the women nurses wear a white uniform (dress) and have to wear a little hat that you pin to your hair. The hat has to be starched every time it's washed.. Kind of cute but the I think the scrubs are more comfortable. :nurse:

We have Navy scrubs from Meridys. They have some nanotech fabric that is supposed to repel fluids. It also makes you sweat like crazy, which is not good when you are already a nervous, sweaty nursing student. They also fit terribly and are not even remotely flattering. The pant waistband comes up to your armpits, so you have to roll the waistband. I gave up and bought a pair of navy scrub pants at Walmart that are a pretty close match.

Oh and I had to pay around $50 for this ugly pair of sweaty scrubs.

We had that same brand, but in flattering all white.

Hot, heavy and hideous. Made burlap feel smooth.

ours are Landau in Silver with our school name embroidered in red. We got to choose our own style in the pant which was great and we have a white lab coat with our patch on the arm. We can wear any white shoes. I wear white nike runners. im ok with our uniforms They look really great on.

Nope. We look like giant blueberries.

We have a choice of navy or white scrub pants or a skirt, a white lab coat w/school logo, cut like a man's suit jacket, and a light blue (almost chambray) button down shirt, like a man's dress shirt for both males and females, The shirt must be worn tucked in but it is not long enough, and I seem to spend more time stuffing my shirt back into my waistband than I do with clients.
