So I started my freshman year in August. I was put in a pre calc with Trig class and it's been making me MISERABLE. I'm also juggling a bunch of other classes, work, and hospital volunteering while trying to manage my severe depression and I feel really close to slipping. I'm not even sure if I need this class to get into nursing. Any suggestions?
What you need is to narrow your list of nursing programs and meet with a counselor at each to find out EXACTLY what you need. I doubt if pre-calc and Trig are on anyone's list. Usually just algebra, unless it's a BSN program, then they want Stats. Find out now, before you go over the edge- don't waste your time on ANY courses you don't need or really want to take.
The first counselor I spoke with didn't know his hat from his orifice, and tried to put me into a bunch of crap classes I didn't need. Then I meet with the wonderful and amazing counselor that I have since stuck with and she has steered me right every time.
