So I started my freshman year in August. I was put in a pre calc with Trig class and it's been making me MISERABLE. I'm also juggling a bunch of other classes, work, and hospital volunteering while trying to manage my severe depression and I feel really close to slipping. I'm not even sure if I need this class to get into nursing. Any suggestions?

be careful taking classes that you don't need especially if they can impact your gap

Talk to your advisor or check your degree audit. I can't imagine any nursing program that would require pre-calc.

You need to check with the nursing school(s) you plan to apply to. None of the programs around here require anything that advanced. Here it's algebra and statistics.
None of the nursing schools I want to apply need it. If I talk to my counselor, will I get a W or an F? My professor knows I'm struggling with the class and also due to my depression. I don't want this to look bad on my nursing school applications though.
If you drop it you'll likely receive a W. Some schools don't allow W's so depending on your school you may have to retake it. In my opinion, a W is 10 times better than an F.

Why did you take it in the first place?
This being a lesson, moving forward, before you take a class, make sure to speak to a pre-nursing counselor to help you figure out the coursework you need to take, and, the course sequence.

You only need statistics for nursing.

Assuming you intend to follow the BSN at your four year university, you would only need statistics and the prerequisites (usually intermediate algebra or test out on your math assessment). If you are shooting for an ASN at a community college, you typically would need to complete or test out of intermediate algebra. These specifics can be verified with your advisor or by reading the entrance requirements listed for your nursing program on your school website. I would advise you to drop this course.
Thanks everyone! I contacted my advisor and we have a meeting set up tomorrow to discuss my future in the class. Your advice was very very appreciated! :)

If you don't need it drop it. A BSN program interested in in my area requires pretty calc, I tried it online over the summer horrible withdrew.
