I have been studying since I received my ATT at the end of May. I test on 6/21 and still have only briefly hit the pharm stuff. I am studying on my own without the assistance of a Kaplan or hurst course and now I second guess that decision( but the money really wasn't available. I practically miss every SATA question that any of my books and APPs have given me. I am scared and wonder if I should postpone my test? Any thoughts?
AMEN!!!..we all shall thank nursing school in all the answers we get correct and if passing the exam on the first try...understand the question, apply nursing process, apply abcs, choose best answer, analyzing for SATA questions....etc..dont rush..think carefully.if u really dont know take chnces with an educated guess...good luck..
I took the NCLEX on the 14th. You will get a lot of SATA questions, and you should be glad when you get them! Harder questions mean that you are trending above the competency line, so don't sweat them, as you only need to get about half of them right. If you want my honest opinion, the difficulty of the exam is overhyped because it's a cash cow for companies like Saunders and Kaplan. It's almost predatory, in my eyes. I did two Kaplan question trainers the day before I took the test and passed with 75 questions in 45 minutes. No amount of studying will prepare you for the test. Just be confident and know the basics. The people who fail are the ones who expect to fail.
My friend & I were saying this today that Kaplan & NCLEX are in it together... I mean $500 for a flipping review?!??! Wayyyy too much. I took it anyways but still.
Oh well I'm glad I took it. Here's to test day!!
