Hello, I was just wondering if anyone enjoys Nursing School? I don't find it to be sooo bad like everyone described. Then again, I'm only in N102, the easy stuff, I guess. I enjoy going to school, most of my peers and many of my instructors, and clinical. Is there anyone else? Sure studying around the clock can get a little old and I just want to snap my fingers and voila I'm an experienced, competent, licensed RN. HAHA What are your experiences? Do you like it or hate it? What is or was the best and worst parts?
Well I was in an LPN program for a year. 4 months after graduation I took the NCLEX and got my first job at a skilled rehab facility. So I was there about 16 months before I got accepted into my local community colleges ADN program.
We're coming up on week 10. I feel like my perception has definitely changed. I'm very grateful that I have 18 months of nursing experience under my belt before starting this program. It's so much easier to comprehend and retain information the second time around. And the few weeks I was working and in school it was nice being able to apply what I was learning directly to my patient care.
So far I'm enjoying it. Lecture, Clinicals, Lab have all been a good learning experience. If I was doing this for the first time however I know I'd be struggling.
I'm done in two months. I really dis-liked it. It was sub-par, at best. Poor clinicals, poor instruction, disjointed. I've heard nursing school is supposed to be the hardest education of your life. Not at mine. I could write a novel, but I believe this sums it up.
Wow, what an experience. Congrats on graduating!

This is how my program has been. I was warned about it from former students before I started, but there are only two accelerated programs in our state, and this is one of them...
There are many times that I think I should have gone with the traditional program (even though it would require a 2 hour round-trip commute many days of the week, and would have been 2 years instead of 1) just for the quality of the education. Alas, hindsight is 20/20.
I am enjoying the ride so fat. 2 more semesters to go. I honestly am anxious over making sure I perform well enough to stay I the program and then some. Lol! But I truly do like what I'm learning, the good to Ed I have in lecture with our instructors and classmates. Our class is hilairious and our instructors are not drill sergeants, for the most part they try to make lecture and lab learning an enjoyable and interactive experience.
I thank god I am in a program that has such people, bc I know not all are like this. I live clinical and they things I get to see and people I get to care for. People really admire nurses here where I'm from, as far as I can see from clinical and working in a hospital as a CNA.
Of course there are times when I wish I could say a few words to my instructors or classmates, however, the good definitely has outweighed the bad in the case of nursing school so far!

Honestly, I love nursing school. I am in an ADN program and I start my third level in the fall. I enjoy going to lecture, I love clinical, and am one of those freaky people who likes to study and learn new information. I get really excited doing NCLEX questions when I get one right and my rationale is right on point with the review book I am using. I really hate having summer off and I can't wait until classes start up again. I finished reading a comprehensive review book and do NCLEX style questions on a regular basis. I love nursing school; my opinion might change, I hear levels III and IV are the pits. So, we shall see.

Just finished my 7th semester, one more to go. I have really enjoyed it, but coming up 4yrs and I'm starting to feel over it and ready for real world nursing or midwifery (still deciding which way I'm going). Looking forward to employment and getting a nice paypacket.
