One in my area requires either one full year of college-level foreign language or 2 years of the same language in high school. This requirement is simply a requirement for graduation, however, and not a requirement for admission. Check the school's website, though. The answers you seek will likely be found there :)
As others have said, you need to see what your school requires. I've attended universities in several states over many years and all have required at least one year (2 semesters) of foreign language. A lot of schools now also require some of your humanities classes to be non-Western studies.

If it is, I plan on taking it at my current school before I transfer. Thanks :) I'm going to contact the school to be sure.
I only have to take one math class (algebra or higher). I have a humananties block that I have to choose 3 courses from. Foreign language is one of the options, but it's not required. I do plan to take Spanish though. I work in a hospital as a tech, and I know already that it would be really useful. I hate using the language lines at work lol!

Hi everyone!
I'm currently a pre-nursing student at a community college planning on transferring to a BSN program after completing my prereqs.
The school I am planning on transferring to requires transfer students to take 24 credits at their college of arts and sciences before transferring into the college of nursing. Because of this, I am leaving a few things to take at that college instead of at my current school.
I've read before that BSN programs require two years of a language. Is that true?
Also: I've read that some schools require two years of algebra and geometry. The only math I am taking in my current program is remedial algebra and statistics. What was your experience?
Thanks in advance!
