i took the nclex yesterday. it was the most horrible day, and has left me with this terrible feeling in my gut!! i was fine before the test and even when i started it. i got my first math q and my good feeling was gone:scrying:!! it was da and i could not remember how to set it up. i did not want to spend too much time on it so i guessed and went on.then when i got the second da math q i really freaked out!! i also had about 20 -30 sata's. i really was unsure about those. i feel like i added wrong answers and left out some that were right. the other half of my test was priority, delegation, and drugs (most of which i had never heard of). i had very few content q's. i know i didn't do well and i feel like i am going to have a nervous breakdown!! my computer cut off at 75 q's. i was praying for more q's because i don't feel like i was able to prove myself with the q's that i got. i kept getting the same thing over and over. i just want to know so that i can go ahead and reschedule my test. i am supposed to start working on july 7, so much for that!! i feel awful. i graduated with honors and was chosen as the outstanding grad of my class ( second highest average in the class). how embarassing for my school!! if anyone has any advice or comments i would love to hear them.

Well, I took it yesterday also.......not sure what to think or how I did....I had 15 SATA, about 10 priority ?'s, on dosage cal, it was an gtt/min ?, had like 3 of the nursed floating to another unit what patient do u assign her, lots of infection control, lots of teaching with meds (what does the nurse need to follow up on), had 75 ?'s and my nerves are a mess.......either I did really good or I did terrible!!!!!!
GOOD LUCK TO YOU, JUST PRAY AND KEEP YOUR HEAD UP!!!!!!!!, I'm sure you did just fine........I think everybody gets anxious waiting on results.
My math Q's were dimensional analysis!! I could not remember for the life of me how to set those up!! I froze up!!
Thanks for the encouragement soon 2 be RN I really need to hear that !!
what is dimensional analysis? I never heard of that one, maybe we call it something else at my school.

slow down and take a deep breath. most that go into the exam come out feeling like you did. i would wait until you get your results before you consider anything else.
all that write the exam get 50% correct and 50% incorrect. they determine passing by the level of where you were getting most of them correct. nothing more to it than that. and the number of questions does not mean anything, nor if one get the last one right or wrong.
15 questions are also freebies, they do not count, but you do not know the ones that were pre-selected as trial questions for the exam and future exams.
you should not have had content questions, as you have already been tested on that in school. this exam is interested in seeing what you will do with information that you already have in your head and that you will practice safely when you first start to work.
not sure what state that you are located in and if you have quick results available for you or if your state posts quickly.
best of luck to you.

how do you compute gtt/hr? do you get it by getting gtt/min first and multiply the answer to 60?
my mistake.its cc/hour.not gtt/hour.sorry
