Sorta. :D

I have narrowed the RN-BSN program field to three candidates, and I'm stopping there! No more researching programs ... I can't take it! :) I have compiled a spreadsheet, for I am a dork. But enough is enough. I must pick!

Here are the top 3:

http://bsnlinc.wisconsin.edu/ -- UW-Green Bay. This one is my favorite, overall. I'd have to take chemistry, but that's okay. I just have a good feeling about this program, for whatever reason. Maybe because I like the color green? Who knows. (I'm kidding.)

http://www.chamberlain.edu/Default.aspx?tabid=110 -- Chamberlain. I think I like this one because you get awarded lots of credit for being an RN. However, they're jerking me around with the transfer credits, but that was addressed in my other post. ;) We'll see how it all shakes out. I have a feeling, though, that this one will be too spendy. Seriously.

http://www.sru.edu/pages/13569.asp -- Slippery Rock University. I've read a few recent posts from SRU students, and it does sound like a good program. I'm planning on applying and seeing where I land as far as what I'll have to take.

Good Luck to you with your endeavors, and hey congrats on being our "guide". you might as well have the title because you have been guiding us for how long? LOL! Again good luck to you as you work toward your BSN. I hope everything goes your way. Traci

When I was a CNA, I worked with a Nurse that was doing Slippery Rock BSN online. I remember one of her assignments was that she had to video record a Head to Toe assessment. She was trying to figure out how to memorize every step and make it flow. I suggested that she tape up some sort of grid or chart on the wall behind the camera so that it would que her step by step. This was way before Excelsior ever entered my brain. I guess in a way there was a tiny seed of EC instilled in me and I didn't even know it. Good Luck Lunah! I know that you will figure it out. I may even look into Slippery Rock but I kinda have my heart set on UNC, Go Tarheels!

I've heard that UOP is very expensive. One of my team leaders (charge nurse) had started UOP and didn't like the format, or the experience. She's looking elsewhere now.

I work with some nurses that are/have gone to SRU for their RN-BSN. I hear it's a good program, but I think I'll end up attending Chatham University's all on-line RN-BSN http://www.chatham.edu With the agreement they have with my employeer and school, I get over 20% off tuition. :)

Can't argue with 20% off! :D How awesome!!

Whichever you choose, Lunah, you'll rock it.
