Direct Entry of nursing Fall 2018 at Simmons

Published

Hi everyone,

I didnt see a forum for this so I thought I would start one. I applied to Simmons College Direct Entry for fall of 2018. I was reading older threads and it seems like people dont hear back until mid january

Congrats! I received an email that decision letters were going out this next week but it didn't say whether I was accepted or not.

Same! I hope the letters arrive soon!!

Hi TLima,

Do you know if that is the way they are going to let accepted students know they have been accepted? Email saying you have been admitted? Plus mailed letter?

Just nervous that if I only receive an email saying the decisions have been mailed / lack of email saying admittance = rejection.

@endodiabpnp Congrats!! Did you receive the email saying that the letters are being mailed out this week, and then a separate email with the acceptance?

I just got the email as well. Maybe they will be sending emails in the next couple days as well as the letter.

congrats EllaG!

So did you receive the initial email letting us know they sent out the decision letters, and then received a second email from them informing you of your acceptance?

That is what is I was thinking too but no one else seems to have heard except for TLima.... weird

Hey all! I just also received an email from Simmons College stating that the decision letters were being sent out. On that email, there was also a paragraph in the middle saying that they were very excited on my acceptance and that I had been awarded a merit scholarship. So, I don't know what that means in terms of acceptances/rejections, but it could have something to do with the merit scholarship. So people who did not get that mini-statement in their email could still get into the program, but may not have a merit scholarship (?). I don't know, I'm just sharing what my email says. Best of luck to everyone waiting, sending you all love and light!

Congrats!! and a second congrats on the scholarship!!

Dean's Scholarships

A limited number of Dean's merit scholarships are offered by SNHS. Newly admitted Direct Entry nursing and DPT applicants who will be enrolled full-time are automatically considered for merit scholarships at the time of application review. Although not the only requirement, applicants must have a 3.5 overall GPA and a 3.5 GPA in the science prereqs. No separate application is required for these competitive awards. Selected students will be informed of such awards in their letters of admission.

I just called, and they said that acceptance and rejections will only be given out through mail! They're mailing them out today so it'll probably get to you early next week. Best of luck to you all!

Am I the only one who hasn't received any email AT ALL? I keep anxiously checking my inbox and I didn't receive anything about any letters going out or of the sort, however, my friend got a letter stating that letters will be sent out and that she got accepted and awarded a merit scholarship... Nervous
