Hi everyone,
I didnt see a forum for this so I thought I would start one. I applied to Simmons College Direct Entry for fall of 2018. I was reading older threads and it seems like people dont hear back until mid january

Hi all!
Finally submitted my application! A little nervous due to the fact that my undergrad gpa and GRE scores were very low. But I am currently finishing my Masters degree in Health Science with a great gpa and have received all As in Nursing prerequisites. With over 5 years of patient care experience. Any insight on my chances of getting in? (Trying to remain positive)

I submitted my application 11/30/2017.
I graduated from UC Davis in 2016 with a BS in Cell Biology. My pre-req GPA is a 3.8, cumulative GPA from all the schools I have attended is probably a 3.2??? My GRE scores were quite low, except for Analytical Writing which was at a 5.0.
I have done a lot of volunteering in health care related settings involving those who are underserved. Currently working as a research assistant at Stanford School of Medicine.

Thanks for starting this! I had been looking around to see if anyone had created one for 2018. I submitted my application for Simmons as well... the wait is going to kill me. In looking at the other threads I saw people heard back as early as mid Jan and as late as mid March. I'm not sure what their process is but hopefully we hear sooner rather than later!

So happy this exists! I submitted my application for 2018, too. This is definitely my top choice if I can figure out financial aid. My undergrad GPA is around 3.71, with my pre-reqs in progress. But I would say that GPA will be around 3.4!

Hi, I am so happy you started this thread! I also applied to Simmons for their Direct Entry program among a couple other schools. Did you guys apply to other schools in the Boston area as well? Currently, I have a 4.0 in my pre requisites and a 3.9 cumulative GPA! I am so nervous and anxious about hearing back! It looks like we'll hear mid-to-late January based on the threads from 2017!
Btw, Simmons doesn't look at GRE scores!

Hi everyone! I also applied to the Simmons Direct Entry program for Fall 2018. I am super excited but NursingCAS was a pain to work with! I was looking at other threads and noticed that some people were able to view when "decisions were mailed" through some form of portal--would that be through NursingCAS? JW! I've already been accepted into Regis Accelerated BSN/MSN program but Simmons is my first choice! A decision would be great since Regis wants a deposit by January
Hi! I know NursingCAS was absolutely awful ! I really did not enjoy my time working with them, they kept on losing things and were very slow to post about documents received! I was accepted to Regis as well! So from what I've gathered, I believe Simmons up until this year has used their own website for the application process. I do not think NursingCAS allows for us to see when schools change their status, but I think we should be hearing from them around mid-January!
Hi CL0724! So happy to hear there are other Regis Accepted students too! Are you planning to submit the deposit for Regis? What is your first choice school? I am torn between Regis and Simmons-both schools definitely have their strengths and weaknesses but for me, Simmons is closer and Regis would be a hike to commute to. Also thank you for clarifying/answering my question. I was wondering how all these students from the previous year were able to check their statuses-now it makes perfect sense!
Hi @Ehow1188 ! Yes I am going to submit the deposit for Regis! It is so hard to decide, which school because both of them are very strong programs! I am leaning towards Simmons being my number one choice, but I am thrilled to be accepted to Regis's program! Did you apply anywhere else? I really want to hear back from Simmons;the wait is killing me! Also, do you know how many people are in Simmons cohort? For Regis they said our cohort will be 36 people.
Hey again! I applied to Northeastern and MGH, but I missed the deadline for BC I don't know the size of Simmons cohort, but I can't imagine anymore than 50 people maybe? Does anyone else know? I couldn't wait and emailed Simmons--they said they've started preliminary application checks, but we won't hear back till mid-January. Also, I know this is not a Regis discussion thread, but I just received an invite to a Meet and Greet on January 19th. I'll have to miss work but I'm leaning towards going. How about you?
