Hi Everyone,
This is my first thread but I have to say that I find this site always informative, great resource, and a wonderful online community :) Here is a little background of where my question is headed, and up front I want to thank anyone who responds with information and advice.
I graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a Bachelor's Degree in Health Management and Policy in 2007, Since then I have recieved no promising job offers I kept hearing the same thing that "I worked as an LNA through college (still do) and have little business experience so my best route would be to go forward towards a Masters in Nursing". I knew I would accomplish this but I wanted to work for a while first. So this past year I have been completing my pre-reqs for Direct Entry programs for non-nurses who want to recieve a masters.
I have Anatomy II left to take which I am taking this summer, UNH requires a grade of B or better in their 4 pre-req classes. Unfortunately I recieved a B- in Microbiology in the fall, took it again this semester and I currently have an A
Anatomy: I took in the fall and did horribly, I don't want to make any excuses but the Professor I had has a passing rate of 40% we literally had 10 people left in the class, he did not offer help whatsoever and then had the nerve to tell me that I was ridiculas for taking Microbiology and Anatomy at the same time while working!
I just finished Anatomy I again and had a final grade of a B- (80%)
AAAhhh I know a grade of a B was 83% 3 points! So, I am taking the Anatomy and Physiolgy I/II summer session bundle at UNH to get my B for their program.
If anyone on this board is in the Direct Entry masters of nursing program (DEMN program) At the University of NH or any other graduate school nursing program Do programs really frown upon repeating classing to obtain the Grade that they require? (My background includes a degree in healthcare, I have been an LNA for over 5 years and I work at a local hospital in clinical and business fields ) I am just really nervous they are going to look over my application and see I took 2 classes more than once to Obtain the B grade and pass me over. (my other choices will accept my now provisionally beause I only have chemistry to take for their requirements but I am focused on UNH due to the closeness to home.)
Any advice would be very appreciated Thank you so much :)
