Did they mention which units they were going to hire at?

No, she only inquired about the pediatric positions.

Did anyone get any word as to when we should hear back from the recruiter?

Hi everyone, just to play devil's advocate here—but keep in mind that a lot of these residencies don't actually know which units will be hiring until much closer to interview time. One well-known hospital even canceled my interview entirely because they underestimated how small their cohort would be, and for those who did get interviews, they were told that even if they passed the first round, they might not move forward to the unit interview. Why? Because the hiring manager could either deny them or decide the unit no longer needs anyone.

With the way things are going, federal budget cuts impacting California, many hospitals have had to either pause their new grad programs or drastically reduce the number of positions they're offering. It's a really frustrating place to be in, and trust me, I've felt it too. But please be mentally prepared to take any position you're offered, even if it's not your first choice. This might be the most competitive new grad season we've seen yet, and flexibility could make all the difference. Wishing everyone luck, and their dream jobs, and I hope we hear some good news from Northridge soon. 🥲

I reached out to the National Nurse Residency Coordinator, the contact information is in the packet, and they stated they will not be hiring for L&D, Postpartum, NICU and Pediatrics if anyone is interested in those areas. I am waiting to hear back if they are able to tell me which units are available.

That's extremely disappointing to hear 😞 thank you for sharing this information. I also reached out to her yesterday regarding interview timelines and she said the would happen in mid to late July. Goodluck to everyone!

However the situation maybe, (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME - PLEASE DO NOT POST IDENTIFYING INFO ABOUT OTHERS) (the residency coordinator) got back to me and said that they're not taking new grads for Peds/PICU. I'm not sure what other units are included with this, as I only asked for Peds. I'm still going to keep my application because at this point, a jobs a job and I can always transfer to a pediatric unit. good luck to everyone !

Hi everyone! I just decided to check my portal/application for DTLA dignity health (California) and it said "reviewed, not selected" so I think they should be reaching out soon! I'm a bit discouraged after seeing so many rejections but good luck to you all!

Has anyone heard anything back yet?
