Did you try signing up for the New Grad Initiative? Find out the hiring manager's contact? This usually need connections or even volunteer somewhere?

If English isn't your first language, brush up on writing a cover letter and your communication skills.
Remember that health care is funded by the government and the Canadian economy isn't that healthy right now. When there is no money there are no jobs.

Toronto is very tight for any jobs at the moment. Many applicants and few jobs, for at least 4 years now. Keep applying, but also consider that you may need to relocate, or at least be willing to commute. Also, ask someone to proof read your resume and cover letters. If your post is any indication of your resume, grammar may be one factor hindering your prospects.

Maybe try searching for RPN instead of LPN.That's what they call them in Ontario.

Do not wait until they contact you. Just go straight to the potential employer and represent yourself.
It is very hard to find a job in hospitals.
do not think they sweat over your resume. They hardly hire people through resumes it is too much work for them especially for hiring a single staff nurse . They stop reading resumes they they find first appropriate person. So if you are the first one to knock on the door your resume goes to the top of the pile. As well you show your motivation when you came in person.
Sometimes you can irritate people but "so what?"
it is much easier to find a job in the nursing homes especially through agencies especially for RPNs but agency involved is a big disadvantage as you do not get union protection.
As a nurse be proactive.

Volunteering didn't help me in any way land a job.
I didn't purposely volunteer thinking to have a job in the future but tremendously enjoyed the experience nonetheless. Try it its fulfilling.
